But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 esv

The sentence above comes just after Jesus told his disciples not to worry or be anxious about food and drink and clothing. He declares that their Heavenly Father knows what we need. So trust…don’t worry… Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness/salvation.

Jenise, the kids, and I have been on the road for Jesus for nearly two decades. There have been times where things were tight, and I am sure there will me more. Truth be told we have had our fair share of anxious times. Yet the Holy Spirit of God always brings us back into line and we remember that we are living and sharing God’s story of love and rescue. Along the way, God has always provided the food and drink…although sometimes I am not so sure he’s ben happy about some of my fashion statements!

What I wish for you is this; Seek him and his kingdom first, and the rest will be added to you. Then you can relax and enjoy what God has to offer.

Wouldn’t you know it? As I write this, I am humming a tune. I can’t help but share, so don’t curse me too much for putting it in your head for the day… Yes there is no mention of God, but it’s got a message.
