In the wee hours of the morning…
Anybody who knows me realizes that I’m usually up at 4:45 in the morning. Besides the obvious disadvantages (typos, proofreading, the end of Daylight savings Time), there are many benefits.
One significant benefit is quiet. There is no dog, TV, music, nor traffic on Main Street. It makes room for ONE on one time with 42. It allows me to “be still and know” that he is God.
Another benefit is beauty. I can look at the predawn sky and watch as it goes from black to gray to purple to blue. And it begins in the trees just outside my back porch. The picture below is one I took last Thursday.

Study this picture. Notice that the foreground (the place we dwell) is coming into view, but the background (the heavens) is spectacular! Inspirational scenes like this are the place where sermons, blogs, and devotionals come from; Well done LORD!
I hope and pray that you find a time and a place to allow a little ONE on one time!
And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind.
And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.
And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.
