Who do you know like this? I mean, who in your life do you know so well, and they know you so well that you would be ready and willing to lay down your life for them?
If you are honest, you can’t really say for sure if you would lay down your life for someone else until you have been faced with the situation. You may think you love you spouse or kids like this, but you don’t know if you would unless you have, and it is very rare when any one of us has been faced with that.
Jesus knew, and he did!
O Good Shepherd, you know our every flawed fiber. Help us to know you. Inspire us to live as we are known…forgiven! Amen.
