Guess who’s coming to dinner?
So Thursday night “J”, Baby, and I sat down to an authentic Ramen dinner purchased to support a local restaurant offering takeout once a week during this crisis. We sat at our dining room table enjoying the meal with us was Cup’O’Joe and Mrs. Cup’O’Joe.
No, we were not breaking the Government “stay at home” orders. In fact, we were practicing social distance; over one mile apart! You see, Cup’O’Joe and Mrs. Cup’O’Joe were on my iPad via FaceTime. They sat in their dining room, and we at in ours.
We had wonderful dinner conversation while explaining the details of our respective Ramen meals, shared family and church family updates, and had plenty’O’laughs.
in other words, we found another way to do Christian community!
So grab your laptops, tablets, or smartphones. Reach out to the friends and family the you are prohibited from being in the same room with, and share a meal, dessert, or simply just sip a Cup’O’Joe.
Hmmm… I wonder what The Flying Scotsman and Mrs Flying Scotsman are doing Sunday night?
