slow down!
Prior to March 2020, my standard schedule was to write a Hitchhiker’s bLOG every Tuesday morning, Something to Think About biblical reflection every Friday morning, the occasional Special Delivery from the Flying Scotsman, or a Supplemental.
Then on 2020.03.15, we were called to sacrifice and hunker down at home to keep each other safe. I decided then to commit to adding content to the bLOG pretty much everyday during this pandemic. This would give my friends things to ponder, reflect, pray about, or simply laugh about. You responded by visiting my site is significant numbers (an average of 180 per week)!
One of my favorite sitcoms was TAXI, and one of my favorite characters was The Reverend Jim Ignatowski (a.k.a. Jim, Rev. Jim, Iggy). He is has experienced a long strange trip from wealth and a Harvard education to living in a condemned building and driving a cab.
In an episode titled “Reverend Jim: A Space Odyssey”, Jim has to get his driver’s license, and Alex, Elaine, Tony, and Bobby take him to the exam with hopes that they could help him. He whispers to them the first question, “What does a yellow light mean?” Bobby whispers; “Slow down.” Much to the gang’s surprise, Jim responds…
“Okay… What——- does—— a—— yellow——– light——- mean——–?”

I think it is time for me to listen to the whispering voice in my head telling me to “Slow down.” So minding the voice means I am going to return to my pre-pandemic routine of Tuesday and Friday, with the occasional other offering. It is Summer, I am tired, I worry about my congregation, and my mom is not well. I am a bit fried (kinda like Iggy, but without the drug history), so somethings gotta give.
I love you guys, and you have been so gracious and faithful in commenting and reading the bLOGS. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
So, one last thing. Below is the video of one of the funniest five minutes in television history that you will ever see. Enjoy!

Really did enjoy reading your blog each morning before work. Praying when needed and laughing with you on many of your blogs. Thank you Thank you Thank you. I agree that episode had my stomach hurting. Again much ❤️ love
