And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 ESV
I want you to think about this very moment; literally this second in your life. Now I want you to think about the path you have been on since the LORD entered your life (or you became aware that the LORD was in your life). This is the good work that he began in you.
Now project forward all the way to Jesus Christ’s return in all of his glory. That could be 1000 years from now, or 1000 seconds from now. From this very moment until then, which may include your own death, is good work that is moving nearer and nearer to completion.
So don’t just sit there, join him in his work.
There is no time like the present!
After all, you and I are works in progress, but it is actually not our work; it is the work of 42!!!
