Something to Think About – 2020.07.24

It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.

Psalm 112:5

When I read a verse like this, I see great wisdom. Here is but a couple of ways to live “42”‘s mandate to love one’s neighbor. Be generous and help out when you can. Be just in how you conduct your business.

In a world that would rather have us love, focus on, and worship ourselves, we are taught not to trust anybody. We are taught that generosity is taken advantage of, and “never a borrower or lender be.” Find every loophole you can find when conducting business, and get every penny you deserve. Create a giant mark-up on you price, and then put it on sale!

If you say Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, then look to his example. He fed people even when they did not have enough bread, fish, or financial resources. He healed people who others would not touch, and spoke and dined with people others would not be seen with. He taught to give our cloak away, and walk the extra mile. He stated that one must love their enemy.

It wasn’t an option!
