That Girl I Live With!

So tomorrow marks yet another birthday for that girl I live with. I am not sure if I know anybody who can juggle as many things; children and youth librarian, accomplished costume creator, painter, friend, mother to my children, student pursuing a dual Masters degree, and alpha to “The Monster Behind the DOOR.” Oh, and she also happens to be married to me! (I married up)

So on the eve of the anniversary of her birth, I write Tanka inspired by her!

A Tanka for Jenise

She is potential

and kinetic energy;

inertia too!

My greatest muse and critic,

best friend, confidant, and bride.

Happy Birthday Eve!
