Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:15-16

Every so often, you just need to walk with a verse for a day to get some perspective or reboot. Today’s scripture is a doozy!

I invite you to turn it into a dialogue between Jesus and you. Script it by changing it to present tense, and swap your name for Simon Peter’s. Then have this conversation with the Lord a number of times throughout the day, letting him ask you over and over again. Here’s what it would look like.

Jesus: “But who do you say that I am?”

Hitchhiker: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:15-16
