Something to Think About – 2023.06.23

…but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

“Conjunction Junction, what’s your function? Hooking up words and phrases and clauses.” Today’s verse begins with the conjunction “but” implying that the text that precedes it is sort of the opposite of our verse.

In this case, the previous 30 verses reestablishes to a broken and weary people how great and indefatigable the LORD is! YaHWeH promises renew their vigor as they move forward with him.

Friends, we have experienced a great trauma on multiple fronts, and we are still walking along in kind of a funk. Let the only ONE who can restore you (and us) do just that!
