So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

1 John 4:16

I am always astounded at the simplicity and profundity of the Apostle John’s Gospel and Epistles. How could a Hebrew fisherman from Capernaum write in such sophisticated Greek? I am one of those in the school that believes that John got “by with a little help from his friends.” Not only was the Holy Spirit on the job, but likely were his protégés: Ignatius of and Polycarp.

To keep it simple today, I am putting this verse into equations:

God = Love

You = Love

You = God’s Love

You + Love + God = Life in Him!
