No more Road Rage Against the Machine!
I have lived and worked in “Spartaland” for over eleven years and have likely crossed the street between the church and the house at least 15,000 times. There have been many close moments where I thought I would see Jesus as many people do not stop, even though state law mandates it, even though the yellow flashers are blinking their notice that some”BODY” is in the crosswalk. It happened just the other day to the Monster Behind the Door (MBD) and me as we crossed during his morning constitutional. I used to get angry, but now I am inspired to bLOG.
As a practitioner of the Law of Love, I cannot expect others to follow it, even if I have just played Frogger in front of my home for the 1000th time. Therefore, I have no excuse to ignore it just because the world is ignorant or chooses to ignore the Law of Love.
Now I turn to you, oh practitioners of the Law of Law, and remind you that you have a choice when someone crosses your path not following the Law of Love:
- Channel your rage against the machine over and over and over like Lamech who pridefully declares to his wives that he can exact revenge seventy-seven fold (Genesis 4:23-24), or
- Turn your rage against the machine over and over and over as Jesus instructs Peter, and us, to forgive seventy-seven fold (Matthew 18:21-22).
The choice is your, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! (Joshua 24:15)
