For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. 2 Corinthians 2:14-15
Today, I emphasize the word that appears three times in the middle of this passage: “all.” The extraordinary thing that happens in Christ is not simply for a particular set of people or a specific nation but is something offered to “all” people.
2000 years before Christ, Abraham was promised that through his offspring all the nations would be blessed (see Genesis 22:18). The cross was the ground zero of the fulfillment of this promise.
So how shall we, the keepers of this promise, live?
