“IAM”
In the news recently scientists revealed the first pictures of a black hole. It is wonderful and strange and beautiful.
So this got me thinking: Is it correct to call it a “black hole?” By definition, a black hole is no hole at all. In fact, it is a very, very compact mass that has such an awesome gravitational force that it actually distorts spacetime and even prevents light and radiation from escaping. So there is truly something there; we just can’t see it. So why don’t we call it for what it truly is: the Invisible Awesome Mass, or “IAM” for short?
The boundary around the IAM, where nothing can escape its incredibleness, is called the event horizon. Just outside this event horizon is what you see in the picture as the beautiful oranges, yellows, reds, and whites around the dark center. We are observing the reaction between the galaxy’s matter and energy as it swirls around the incredible, irresistible forces of this great IAM.
I guess what am trying to say is that the way we prove that the IAM exists is by the visible interactions of things we can see as they interact with something incredible that we cannot. Therefore, we can deduce that around the event horizon of the IAM is visible evidence of the IAM, and the most intense and most visible activity is the that which is closest to the center. Hmmm…

Stay close to the Triune God of Grace and the known universe that surrounds him. Feel the power of the great IAM, as personified in Jesus Christ and experienced through the invisible and irresistible force of the Holy Spirit. Spend time in a community that dwells close to the Center, the Great IAM.
And let your Oranges, Yellows, Reds, and Whites be seen, and others will see your beautiful light and give glory to the IAM.
