It means a lot…
I’ve been reflecting a great deal lately about whether the Lord’s church in the 21st Century would even be recognizable to the very One we claim to serve.
It is a scary proposition to think that we may have shifted so much that our theology, traditions, focus and politics have become heresy. Has even our interpretation of the scriptures shifted simply to sooth and appease itchy ears? Maybe we have moved too much!
Then this horrible thought catches my attention. Maybe we haven’t shifted enough. Maybe our theology, traditions, focus, and politics have become stagnant and rancid. Maybe our understanding of the scriptures hasn’t displayed any signs of life? Maybe we are not moving at all!
Then I hear a gently whisper in my ear: “It means a lot to me that I AM in your thoughts.”
“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
