Strange New World

We arrived at our new home at the end of last week, and have unpacked our life. We are homeowners once again!

Now the work begins to create new routines, or resurrect old ones. Setting up utilities is an old thing, and getting a post office box is a new thing. Finding a local bank is an old thing, picking up our own router and cable box on our own is something new. Living in the woods and walking Mayhem without street lights (or any light) is something totally new, and a little unnerving. Then there is town hall, trash permits, car registrations, driver’s license, etc…

Oh my!

But something neither new nor old is the timeless presence of the Lord in all of it!

“…you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, you are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.” Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:9-10
