King David is praying. He is extolling the greatness of YaHWeH and that there is no other. But more importantly, David’s entire prayer is one of profound gratitude. There are no requests; no petitions.
How often do we turn to the Triune God of Grace to only extol our gratitude and declare our love and adoration? Seriously; how long?
Lord, there is none like you. You are the God who loves us so much that you became one of us. Now that is suffering; you endured the pain of being part of humanity. But then you heaped it on by taking our sin to the cross. Thank you for providing your Spirit to open the eyes of our hearts. May we rise to the task of loving others because you loved us first, you love us always, and you love us too much! In your powerful name we pray. Amen!
