HitchHiker’s First Law of Emotions
Newton’s first law of motion tells us that a body remains at rest or in action at a constant speed in a straight line unless acted upon by another force. But nobody ever addresses how the body even came into being.
Regardless of your “narrative” of creation, you first have to admit that life, the universe, and everything had to come into being somehow before it could sit at rest or be in motion. Once you realize that the fingerprints of an Intelligent Designer are all over it, you can come to terms with how you feel about it.
HitchHiker’s First Law of Emotions is this: YaHWeH loved us first, providing us with life, breath, and everything. Therefore we must always remain in motion and/or at rest in him, living out our lives emoting love for 42. In extension, we must exemplify his love toward all bipedal, sentient, earth-dwelling, and flawed meat-sacks we come in contact with while hitchhiking on this big, beautiful, blue super-computer. Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
We love because he first loved us. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother (others). 1 John 4:19, 21
…you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18b
