Once again, we find ourselves in the acrostic Psalm 119. Today’s verse is brought to you by the letter Pe, and the Hebrew word to start it is pethach (פֵתַח). This word means an opening, an entrance, or an unfolding.
God’s words open up opportunities to illuminate our paths. They provide an entrance into insights into the life of faith for those whose minds are willing to be opened by the Holy Spirit. Once opened, 42’s incomprehensible majesty and loving-kindness unfold before us continuously.
O Lord, prepare more minds for openness. With your Spirit, usher us into your word with passion and enthusiasm. Unfold before us the great mysteries of faith.
