Has anybody else noticed that we are in the midst of an epidemic? This disease is spreading like wildfire! Every day, I hear of more and more cases being confirmed. And our culture has become incredibly adept at spotting the symptoms and diagnosing these cases; we do not need experts to prove it as we’ve got it covered.
One of the most insidious symptoms of this horrible disease is its ability to deaden the senses of the infected patient to the point that they are prevented from spotting their own illness and deny having contracted it. Yet, at the same time, they have an acute awareness of the disease’s destructive forces in others.
Here are other symptoms often observed per HealthPrep.com:
- sense of entitlement and/or superiority
- expectation of admiration, attention, and validation
- exaggerating their life and/or living in a fantasy world
- demeaning, intimidating, controlling, and/or bullying others
- taking advantage of others, and often lacking empathy
- lacking accountability for their actions and blaming others
- lacking boundaries, talks over others, and frequently interrupts
- perfectionism, often driven by hidden fears
- unable to be truly vulnerable
The disease is the antithesis of Christian morals and ethics, and the enemy of community:

As I read it, Psychology Today is saying that everybody is, in varying degrees, a narcissist on the spectrum.
