Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:35, 37
When I reflect on these words, it strikes me that it is not just outside forces that challenge us. Our own inside tribulations (doubt, depression, poverty, vulnerabilities and fears) can cause us to take our eyes off of the Lord.
The first step toward being more than a conqueror or self-help master is to realize that the Lord’s love is ever present in all of our internal and external good, bad, and ugly.
I know this as fact, not just warm wishful thinking, as 42 takes this White Hot Mess and uses me to passionately spread his message of hope and commit love mischief…
