You all know that I am a big Star Trek fan, especially the original series. For the following few bLOGs, I will take some of my favorite quotes from the Star Trek canon and try put them in the context of a Christian walk. I hope you will dive deep with me.

“Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end.”
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
So this quote may seem contradictory to Proverbs 9:10-11 and Psalm 111:10. In reality, logic, a practice of reasoning conducted according to strict validation principles, is simply seeking TRUTH.
In Romans 12:1, Paul appeals to them, by the mercies of God, to present themselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. But the Greek word translated as “spiritual” is λογικὴν (pronounced logic-ane) means reasonable and rational. In other to seek true worship of God is only “logical.”
Are you thirsty for more? Even more powerful is how Peter uses this word in 1 Peter 2:2. He instructs the chosen exiles of the Christian diaspora to long for the pure “spiritual” milk, for it will help us grow into salvation. Again, the word λογικὴν, which means that this pure logic will help us grow throughout our life. It adds a time element.
Both Peter and Paul tell us that Logic is the beginning of WISDOM, and it is simply “Logical” to Search for 42 (TRUTH) all of our lives!
