FONT WARS!

I was thumbing through the news feed the other day, and an article caught my eye; it was about FONTS. But it wasn’t people discussing the differences and nuances of Arial, Helvetica, Aptos, etc., but about the font to be used on official governmental documentation.

Apparently, there was a change in 2013 to Calibri to accommodate people with sight issues. But now Calibri is being banned because it is too DEI, and the old font, Times New Roman, has returned.

I thought I was being punked!

With all the people, communities, and systems that are broken in our culture and government, this is the hill we want to die on? It’s like a script from an animated series created by Matt Groening or the team of Trey Parker and Matt Stone (think Futurama, South Park, etc.).

Each week that goes by, I wonder more and more if we are trapped inside a planet with no way out, and our antagonists are a bunch of maniacally evil characters with obsessive control issues fighting against each other for power and motivated by vengeance.

It makes me want to scream!

Thank God we have an ever-present and gentle Hero who loves us and will eventually lead us and welcome us back to the tranquil garden.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
