You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18

Wow! Let me say it again: !woW

Think about a society having the humbleness and presence of mind to not exact vengeance or bear grudges against our own people.

Think about what it would look like if partisans decided to work through issues using good will and compromise.

Think about what it would look like if people didn’t punish or try to destroy the careers of others who didn’t give into their point of view, crossed party lines, etc.

Think about what it would look like if people didn’t name call or denigrate their neighbors on social media or news outlets.

If only we could make this a rule for our entire society.

Sigh!
