Have we become numb?
Ten years ago today, a deranged shooter walked into a Connecticut school and killed 26 souls; 20 children and 6 adults. This one hit close to home for me as it happened about 30 minutes from my hometown, and one of the children killed was the daughter of a former coworker.
In May, another deranged shooter walked into a Texas school and killed 21 people; 19 children and 2 adults.
After ten years, have we learned anything?
Alas, these are not the only school shootings from the past ten years. And I am ashamed to say I have lost track of the others, let alone the many mass shootings at grocery stores, work places, Christmas parties, parades, etc., etc., etc. over this past decades How about you?
